The Deal With People Watching Horror Movies

I find it funny when my sister watches scary movies and scream and do lots of things not to watch the part of the movie. Most people I know do that. If the scary part is being shown they hide or they cover their eyes. People watch horror movies and then close their eyes, it is really funny. But here is the point, you watch a horror movie to be entertained or scared but you just close your eyes.

Isn't it ironic? You watch a movie then close your eyes. I do not like watching horror movies because I will get nightmares for about 3 months. While I was in front of the computer, my sister was watching The House of Wax. She screams when the scary part is on, she changes the channel then changes the channel back to the movie.

It just makes me wonder how come people love it watch horror movies and close their eyes.

Just the title itself gives me hope. When I listen to this song, I do more things for the day. This is actually my theme song for my high school life.

There will be always ups and downs in your life but you have to decide if you want your downs to affect you and just sit there and be a burden to people. When I hear this song, I just stop and appreciate such lovely lyrics. This song was made by Jojo herself. She went through all those obstacles and look where she is now. She saying that hey, no matter family background you have, or how poor you are you should never lose hope and reach for your goals.
You just have to have a strong faith in God and everything will be in place. Never doubt what the Lord has given us.

For my fellow third year students and to aybody who is reading this:
In times of hardship and trials, you just have to know who is higher. You just have to look up and say Lord, thanks for these trials because you have a better plan for me than I have for myself. Believe in yourself and in what you can do. Don't let one thing that dissapointed you hurt your future.

Grey's Anatomy

I've been thinking hard for this entry because as much as I love doctors,( I have to love them because my dad is a doctor and my uncles and aunts are doctors (pressure!)) I hate it when they perform surgeries on television.

I've been an avid watcher since summer. Grey's anatomy is a tv series that revovles around doctors like ER but in a fun way but not like Scrubs. Grey's anatomy is a more serious show than Scrubs and it revovles around Merideth Grey and Dr. Shepherd.

It made me realize how I hate science and I will not be taking medicine as my course or any branch of science. Just watching how they cut the chest or stomach or the back of the person gives me the creeps! I cannot believe that my dad does these things all the time and yet he is not grossed out. I love the show but when they show how blood shower like a fountain, I scream and go to my mom. It made me realize that I will not have a future in medicine like I said before. I'm visualizing now how my dad cuts through the skin and he sees all the internal organs and holds them in his hands. I will faint if he ever invites me to see his operations! I'm sorry if I grossed you out, ms..

I recommend you to watch it because it is very informative and it is fun to watch the love life of Dr. Shepherd and Dr. Grey minus all those surgeries.

This song is the new single of Jojo. I picked this song because it's new and the video is full of fluff yet it is true. What struck me most about this song is how relationships could go to waste like the one we discussed a while ago in english about the friendship poem by Caroline Norton. I also was struck by the lyrics of the song specifically:

because teenagers today go into relationships even though they do not know the person that much or like they just talk through texts. It is true abou the saying "Love is blind" because you do all these sorts of things and you cannot see if the person is using you or he trully appreciate you. After you go into that part of the relationship you regret what you did and mourn and eat ice cream or comfort food for weeks.I have not been in love but I listen to my friends' problems about their boyfriends or their soon to be boyfriend aka "torpe".
People do crazy things when they are in love but the message of the video or story is to know your limits. If you doubt you bf/gf confront him or her. It also tells us about how to love yourself before you go into relationships. You should know yourself and know what you want in your soon to be boyfriend or husband. Or you'll regret everything.

Stacie Orrico, a Christian contemporary artist has come back with this new single for those who are hung up with their past relationships.

This song, even the video talks about a girl who moved on. The guy is still hung up with the girl and he's trying to mend his relationship with her. Clearly the girl treated the guy as her life. Now, she doesn't like to enter relationships because she's afraid that she'll go through the things that she went through when she was with him.

Message of the song:
if someone leaves you because he cheated on you and he wants to mend your relationship and go back to what you were, leave him. He is not worth your time, don't dwell in the past.

What do I think about the way she sings:
I just want to say, Stacie Orrico is a singer who does not over sing unlike other singers who try to reach the highest note of the song. And the song has a great melody; it's like Because of you by Kelly Clarkson. It's a mad song but the melody is mellow or cool.

the most awaited movie of the year..

SUPERMAN!

I watched the movie at greenhills promenade. The movie theater was one of the best movie houses i have ever been to.

What can i say about the film?

1. The cinematography was great!
2. The plot, I was not a fan of the plot.
-It was only interesting when Jason, the son of superman/Clark Kent showed signs of his powers. They were locked in the yacht and Jason pushed the piano because the guy was trying to kill Lois.
3. Brandon Routh, for a newbie at the movie industry.He was good and Kate Bosworth was great! I think the movie revolved around her. It was weird.

High School Musical

What is the buzz? Everybody's talking about this movie since the trailer was shown in disney channel. This Tv-Movie was a big hit in the States when it was first aired in January 2006. Now, it is a big hit in Asia.

I am a fan of this Tv-Movie not just because "hott" Zac Efron from summerland is the lead of this movie. For me, this tv-movie is one of the best movies Disney had created.

Why did this movie become famous?

1. It shows the meaning of unity in school
2. It shows how people are divided into cliques that are ridiculus.
3. Shows how you can bloom in high school
4. It also shows friendship in a higher level

the message of this movie is to take risks. Do not be afraid and if you love doing something,do it. Don't let things hold you back because someday you will regret it and treat people with respect.


All in all.. THIS IS A GREAT MOVIE!
