Last Conclusion

This is the end.

Wow. I never imagined that I would come to this period of time. The last of the conclusions, what can i say? First, I would like to thank you for patiently reading my opinions on situations, persons, songs, videos and things. Have you ever imagined that the wacky,crazy person that I am is opinionated?

The last chapter of my entries tackled about how media people manipulate stuff or how different our world from the world before. Media plays a big part on influencing people that's why our time is very different from the others. We should be aware how they can turn bad things to good things and people/audience don't even know it. Lastly, we should not let them discriminate our race because we should stand up and take pride in it.

I hope that through this blog, people who visit this can be more aware of how media works.

Back To Basics : Candyman

"He's a one stop shop, makes my cherry pop

This is my favorite part of that song of Christina Aguilera called Candyman. This song, especialy the video, takes me back to the 40's, 50's whatever genre that has that. For me, it is a very feel good song. I was fund of the lyrics of it, very catchy and very old.

The song has too many rhymes which is rather fun and new for our generation. It's been stuck in my head for a long time since I have heard it on the radio.
The video shows how people act when they were having a good time back in the olden times. It is like their wildest time was going to a concert like that and dancing or something but now, what you call wild is really wild. Through that video, you can compare how people changed and they changed a lot.
Just compare it to the videos of today, you have artist who take off their clothes and people would say that it was cool thing to do. It seems like that those people in the olden times were more wholesome than we are now.

I recommend, that if you want to see what they used to do and what music was before, you to watch that video and feel good!

HOW LOW CAN THESE PEOPLE GO?
I am not a big fan of these artists but I know them because Piolo Pascual is one of the influencial Christians in the industry, that I know of and Sam is a reality star. Are they really obssesed about Piolo's gender? Give him a break! You can see from the original picture that he was holding Rica. I don't know if Piolo had given a statement about this but if was in his situation I would get enraged. Why would people sink this low to prove that he is gay and is going out with sam? I feel sorry and happy for them because people try and try to bring them down and yet they don't let this ruin their friendship.

People here in the Philippines are very showbiz oriented that's whatever rumor that they will hear, they will spread and give other meanings. And sink that low to get a picture and photoshop them. I just wish that those who are writing "intrigas" would not sink that low and give some artists some slack because they work hard though some are really not good but they still work hard.

Reality Shows

Big Brother, Pinoy Dream Academy, Survivor and Amazing Race, just to name a few are very popular reality shows watched by Filipinos. They say that, " it's the story of a life of person." Here's what I say, " That's crap. You don't even know what is really going on because of technology these days."

We love watching these kinds of show. I, myself find it entertaining but come to think of it, you don't know what's happening because they try to exage the situation and they edit it. I once watched an episode of Laguna Beach on MTV, a special episode where Kristin said that the people from MTV directed her and LC to act exaggerately. They knew that LC and Kristin don't like each other but they wanted action or something.

We as viewers should know when these things are being shown to us just to get ratings and lots of money. We should also be aware that not all of these things are true and should believe them. We, teenagers, should keep in mind that those people who are doing somethings that are unaccecptable to the society should not follow them and say that they are cool like the big issue with Sam Milby and Chix from Big Brother season one.

Let us be aware of what we see and hear from these kinds of show.

Election with Artists

Election here in the Philippines is coming up. You'll see in the TV the commercials of senatoriables where they use songs that are in today to make people see that they should vote them.
You will also see artists who endorse them. The real questions are, do those artist believe in those senatoriables or are they just for the money? And do the senatoriable candidates use them to get their fans to vote for them?

The second question is pretty obivious. The answer is yes and I begin to wonder if people vote them because they are good or they vote them because their favorite artist is endorsing them. The first question, not so much. You'll see Sarah Geronimo endorsing for Senatoriable Candidate Angara and many more and you just have to wonder if they are endorsing them just for the money. Sometimes, we do not know the motives of people and we are easily manipulated by them through technology. Especially in our country's state today, it is very crucial since it's election.
It made me question artists and people who vote for them and endorse them because I really think that they just vote for them because their idol is endorsing them like I said in the beginning. It is very very clever of these promotional people to get artists like them who are very loved by the masses.

To those who are in the legal age and are fans of these artists, try to question yourself if you're voting for the artist or are you voting for the senatoriable candidate. It will lead only to a thing if you're only voting because your favorite artist is endorsing the candidate, CHAOS in our beloved country.

A Star Gone Mad

Celebrities are looked up by ordinary people who stay infront of the TV and say, " Shucks, I want to be just like her or him." Recently, A singer of our generation was all over the news. The news reached people all over the world, in Antartica, in Asia, in Africa and in Europe.

I don't want to name her but I think that you know who I am talking about. She shaved her hair off, she partied with such people who had bad reputations and and the tabloids caught her with no underwear. Come on, Kids are watching the television! She's a public figure!
I am in a way speaking badly about her but what can you do when all you see in ET or E! how she's living but she should know that she has fans that are children and are not setting a good example. She should also know that she's better than that. She doesn't have to take drugs to forget about her ex-husband.

I personally don't know her and I know I should not judge her because we haven't met but she should know that she should start and act like a good example for kids nowadays. I know she's trying her best to be the best mom that she can be for her kids.
What I'm trying to say through this entry is that, if you are a public figure, act like yourself and don't act like it's the end of the world for you that you go out and do drugs or whatever.
You just have to mourn for a bit and move on and don't do vices.

A Racist World?

There are different types of people here in this world. You can classify them as smart, not so smart, tall, short, normal, abnormal and many more but there is a classification of human beings by their race or color of their skin. White, Yellow and Black are the colors of humans here in this world. But which is the highest race and which is the lowest?

I begin to notice, some shows in america and U.K. sometimes do not have Asians, African American or Black people. If there is, it only has one or two, limited members are from different races. Is our world, a racist world? There was a news about American Idol by the View saying that it was a racist show, maybe, or maybe not.

No one is above anybody. We should not stereotype people and say that, you're white and you're so superior than everyone in this world or even say, an asian is just a slave or something (like they say about filipino women) or even say, black people are criminals. Never stereotype a person for what he or she looks like.

Conclusion three

And it ends here.

As i read my entries, I realized that it the media today shows how materialistic we are. We should wake up and see the wonders of this beautiful chaotic world, as Katelyn Tarver's song goes " It's a wonderful crazy. It's a beautiful out of control. 'Cause my life is so wonderful crazy."
Media today should show more of the truth rather than the things that we want to hear for it is pleasing to the ears. We, as audience, should know when to know what things are harmful and gives wrong information to people especially the youth of today.

We should think twice if we want to be influenced by these sort of media. We should think first if the message that they wanted to show people is good or just plain strategy to get you to like the prduct.

We are given this life to enjoy and to take hardships not to take it easy and stay still. We should act on what we believe in. We as the audience should not keep our guards down on media stuff. The media people are given the power to reach out to people but some do it in a bad way.

Small things have big impacts on people and people should not be gullibe to the ways of the media.

Chin Chin Guiterrez

Chin chin Guiterrez is one of the famous women of the Philippines.
She is also an evironment advocate.
She is also and actress.
And she met a tragedy recently.

She is one of the strongest persons that I know. She saved her mother before she thought of saving herself. A heroic thing to do and how sweet to think that she saved the person that made her the person that she is today.

I pay tribute to Chin chin Guiterrez in this entry being a hero to someone.

In spite of having 3rd degree or 2nd degree burns, I saw her at TV patrol giving away food and things to those people who were included in the fire calamity like her. To think that she is still hurt by the tragedy, her mother is still in the hospital, she still had the time to visit people and give away things to help them.

People should look up to her and follow her ways because it is what Jesus would do.

It was good to see that the news of today still give people the recognition that they should have. It shows hope to those people who are still strunggling to live.

Cellphones

I will not be a hypocrite.
I am addicted to cellphones.
Everytime there is a cellphone being shown in commercials or in music videos, I'll always tell my dad that I would love that cellphone as my birthday gift and he just waves me off.

Cellphone is a major topic when our pastor in Church preaches. He said that you always carry your phones everywhere, even in Church and it takes your time off listening to God's Word because you are too busy to press all those buttons and talk to your friend somewhere in this world. Come to think of it, he is right.

Cellphones are ruling our lives like robots are ruling the worlds of humans in irobot. We tend to work hard for this phones and in the end get a new one because it is not cool anymore.

And they say the Philippines is a poor country and yet even the poor have cellphones.

The media today tell people that if you have a cellphone, you're one of us. It is like saying you'll be one of the elite people in this world.

I am not against cellphones but the messages of the commercials are not suitable for people in all ages. They should show messages like it will connect you to your loved ones not hooking up with girls or guys.

Just my Luck

A film starred by Lindsay Lohan and new comer Chris Pine.

Let me tell you one thing, it was beyond BORING!
First time I watched it, it made me sleep. Fortunately, I took the time to watch and get the message of this movie which is rather confusing for me.

The messages of this movie for me are there will be times that you will have your luck but it goes away also and do not be selfish if you have it.

I think that the message that I realized was not good. Luck is nothing compared to blessings.
When I watched Brothers Garcia, the father said that people tell him that he is the luckiest man on earth but he said no, I'm just blessed and it made me think that people do sorts of things to get luck like what Lindsay's character did but when you pray to God what you need he'll give it to you and he'll give you more."

There will always be times that you will break down and hit rock bottom and you cannot prevent it. For things are designed that way to make people stronger.

The next time people say you're lucky, say " No, I'm blessed by my Lord" because all good and bad things come from Him.

Steve Irwin

He was one of the craziest men I have ever seen on documentary television shows.
I thought he was trying hard to please the audience.
I thought he was being ridiculous by endagering his life.
I thought wrong.

Steve Irwin is like the hero of animals. Steve Irwin is like "Doctor Doo Little" in real life.

It was fun to watch him do crazy things just to save animals and show people the other side of them. I sound crazy typing this but it is real, he somewhat wanted man to connect with animals and love them like he did.

In this entry, I pay tribute to the most crazy hero of the animals.

My cousin and I talked about his death and he told me that he was one of his heros. Wow, for to be someone's hero is a big thing. He did his purpose here on earth.
It made me think how I wanted to be remembered for something what the big Guy up there wanted me to do.

Steve Irwin, a crazy man, a loving father and husband, may his soul rest in peace.

The News

Don't get me wrong. Bringing news is a good thing but do they have to show how people kill other people?

The news today shows how chaotic our world is. It is always bad things happen here in this country or do not go to this place because something bad will happen. To think children are watching the news which gives them a wrong impression of the world or people they are with.
You will hear or see good news sometimes like Filipinos are doing a great job and are being given awards in other countries.
They show it at dinner time. They let people see how other people get killed when they are eating. I mean, come one, that is the only time where families are together and have a great time and you show it while they are eating.

Why do I dislike News Programs?

They let people think that there is no hope in the country or in the world. I just wish that there will be a news program where they show or pay tribute to people who made someone happy or something.

When will that happen?

Friends

Friends - noun
- group of persons you trust
- awarded television show

Friends are those persons who makes your time worthwhile in school or in places. Friends are those who tell you whether your outfit is so yesterday or they tell you if your shoes does not match. Those people who will tell you right in front of your face that you are wrong.

Those things are put together in one show where everyone there became stars. I do not watch friends regularly but I watch them when I want to laugh. It is funny to see how they make their problems seem like a joke but they do exaggerate. And that is what makes me also hate the show.They show situations where they act so stupid and it makes the scene corny but it captured Americans' eyes. Though friends is a good show when Joey does not act that stupid or when someone in the friends circle does not act that stupid.

One thing I also like about the show is when they show real life problems like Rachel being a single mother, Monica and Chandler not having a baby and whatever things.

Watching friends will make you realize that things just do not go your way, you have to take note of the persons that will be included.

Introduction three

Another chapter of entries begins..

Being exposed to this kind of generation is rather complicated. People live in poverty. People live in a world where everybody is a perfectionist. People live in the world of fake things.

What we see in advertisments in Televisions or posters, some of them are true,some are not.
But, should we care for those material things?

In my Third Quarter entries, you will find my opinions on things about the messages that they show in the media today. I will also pay tribute to people who made me realize that there is still hope for this world, for the Philippines.

I hope you will see how I view this kind of world...

Conclusion two

Half way through the year....
And my conclusion starts here.

Women, we do dominate the world. Some guy or girl said that " Behind a good man is a good woman", see how we strongly influence persons? We were created to be respected and to be proud of ourselves. I know that I sound like a girl who has a big ego because she's female but I can say that I'm proud to be a woman\female\girl!

I realized that we should act what we should act. We should not follow silly things that we think that are ridiculous. We have our own minds, we should use it. We shouldn't be fooled by other people that we should think that we need to look skinnier than we look. Be proud of what you look!

I also realized that we look down on ourselves that's why we have bullimic and anorexic people.
Those people should realize that you look good just being yourself.

Anorexia in HOllywood

ANOREXIA.... it's dominating HOLLYWOOD!

You'll see news about this on ET, E or the Insider. It's really dominating hollywood - WHICH MEANS IT'S DOMINATING THE WHOLE WORLD.

People see such influential persons on TV and see their figures. What do they or what do we see? We see people who are super duper skinny and their sizes ranges from sizes 1 - 2. DO we have a STICK FIGURES?! I don't think so.
Women, WAKE UP! You don't have to be super duper skinny just to feel sexy. You can feel sexy when you SAY YOU ARE SEXY. You look beautiful when you SAY YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.

Don't let some stupid thing dominate your world. Let God, love and beauty dominate your life not a stupid thing.
